Nathdwara Temple also called The Shreenathji Temple

The Shreenathji Nathdwara Temple, Udaipur

One of the several religious sites dotting Udaipur, the Nathdwara Temple is located on the banks of the Banas, surrounded by hills and forests on all sides.

It is the seat of Lord Shrinathji, worshipped by Pushtimargiya Vaishnavas from all over India. Nathdwara or the gateway of Shrinathji has been around for 300 years, and has transformed from an idyllic setting to a pulsating town.
Every year, thousands of devotees visit this temple to pay their respects to the Lord.

It houses the original statue of Lord Krishna who is worshipped here in the avatar of Govardhan Giridhar.
Worshippers perform Ashtaya or make eight darshans of the deity in one day.
Each of these are the different manifestations of Lord Krishna.
