Kanyakumari the southern most tip of India

KanyaKumari, at confluence of the 3 great seas.

Kanyakumari or Cape Comorin is famously known as the Land’s End of India, as it is the southernmost tip of mainland India.
Famed for the memorial to Swami Vivekananda, India’s cherished philosopher, the calm and serenity at Kanyakumari seems a fitting tribute to this gentle genius.
A small spit of land, Kanyakumari, nevertheless attracts millions of visitors on their trips to other parts of south India.
The sunrise and sunset at the Kanyakumari beach take your breath away.
Visitors are privileged to witness the meeting of the waters of the Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea at this spot.

Madurai, famous in India for its temples

Temple City Madurai, India

The second largest city of Tamil Nadu, Madurai is most famous for its cluster of temples, especially the Meenakshi Temple.
Following the rule of paradoxes that is found all over India, the typically traditional temples of Madurai are surrounded by modern buildings and roads.
This, however, does not dilute the religious aura or the architectural splendor of these temples in any way.
Madurai is best visited before the onset of summer, as the temperature here is known to soar alarmingly.
The banks of the Vaigai River, where the city is situated also make for a pretty sight.

Food & Shopping

While food is largely a mix of traditional and contemporary, shopping is not much of an activity in Madurai as much of a sight in itself. The colorful markets are great for an evening walk, to observe local vendors and wares. Nothing special can be bought in Madurai except for clothes or textiles.
