A tiny town on the National Highway 2, Kosi or Kosi Kalan is one of the sister towns of Varanasi and Vrindavan.
It is located further north from these two cities. it is a quiet place to live in while exploring the nearby religious sites.
It is relatively lesser known among tourists and pilgrims.
Kosi offers all the luxuries of a small town, namely peace and privacy.

The Maha Bodhi also know as the Bodh-Gaya Temple in Gaya Bihar India

The site of the attainment of enlightenment of the Buddha, the Maha Bodhi Temple at Bodh Gaya is a symbol of the religious tolerance and diversity of India.
Designated as a World Heritage site by the UNESCO, the temple like the religion is represents has a sublime beauty about it, with little ostentatious display.

The imposing image of the Buddha within dominates the sanctum of the temple. Visitors from all over the world flock here for a glimpse of the Enlightened One.

Besides a place of worship and meditation, the Maha Bodhi Temple is of archaeological importance as well, for its ancient links to Indian history and culture. The Bodhi tree in the premises of the temple is believed to be a descendant of the original Bodhi tree under which the Buddha sat in meditation. Besides a visit of the entire complex, there are a few interesting places in the vicinity worth a visit.

Bodh Gaya is easily accessible by road owing to the good network of roads connecting it to Patna and Gaya.
