How to Travel to Lakshadweep Islands Lakshadweep islands lie on the south-west coast of India.
Agatti, is the only Airport in Lakshadweep.
There are regular Flights from Cochin to Lakshadweep (Agatti).
You can also now take direct Flights from Bangalore to Lakshadweep (Agatti).
From the airport, there are helicopter transfers or boat transfers to the different islands.
Ship cruises to Lakshadweep Islands are also available as packages designed for the tourists by SPORTS Society for Promotion of Recreational Tourism and Sports who control the Tourism in Lakshadweep.

Entry Formalities:
All visitors to Lakhsdweep require entry permits from Lakshadweep administration. [available at Cochin] Out of 10 inhabited isalnd only 4 islands viz., Kalpani, Kavaratti, Minicoy, and Kadmat have been opened for domestic tourists.
Foreign tourists are allowed to visit Bangaram island and Kadmat island only. They are not permitted to visit any other islands in Lakshadweep.

Generally October to May is a good time to visit as the weather is cool and pleasant.
