Yuksam, a diverse tourist village of Sikkim

Said to be the Shangrila of the Himalayas, Yaksum lives up to all the expectations that are made from such a divine place.
Located on the outskirts of the Khangchendzonga National Park, Yuksam is full of natural beauty, which makes it a favorite among trekkers.
In fact, several trekking trails across Sikkim pass through Yuksam.
The thick forests here are home to a wide variety of wildlife and birds, such that are hard to find even in the northern stretch of the Himalayas.
From the point of tourism, Yuksam is still developing and plenty of hotels are not available yet as they are in the other parts of Sikkim.

Lachung, One of the most scenic places in Sikkim

A postcard village located at the base of imposing mountains on the banks of a river, Lachung is one of the most picturesque and untouched villages of Sikkim.
Not a far distance away from Gangtok, Lachung marks the confluence of the Lachung and Lachen rivers which are tribuataries of the mighty Teesta.
Virgin forests, crystal-clear waters and friendly locals called Lachungpas, make Lachung a pleasant holiday destination.

Nature has been allowed to flourish freely here with minimum human interference which makes for an awe-inspiring spectacle. A winter trip to Sikkim must include Lachung on the itinerary.
