Gangtok,a well developed tourist destination of Sikkim

The capital of Sikkim, Gangtok appropriates the largest number of tourists to Sikkim every year.
And with good reason as, urbanity does not seem to have ruined the natural beauty of Gangtok.
A good transport network makes reaching Gangtok very easy.
All manner of amenities are available here.
Being the focal point of Buddhism and Tibetan culture in the North East, Gangtok has several monasteries and Tibetan relics as its major sightseeing spots.
However, it is also advisable to make day trips to nearby places like Namchi or Nathula while staying in Gangtok and explore Sikkim further.
